The mission of the Redwood Coast Humane Society is to advocate for the welfare, rights, respect and protection of all animals through care, intervention and education.
MEET OUR CATS
Meet Chase, 9 month old tux. Awwwww, he's a bit bashful at the moment, but beneath that shyness lies a bundle of love and charm! The moment he met our volunteers, he melted right into their arms. We're all set to pamper you, Chase, until your forever family comes to adopt you! Together, with our volunteers and your help spreading the word, we can help so many sweet cats and dogs thrive in a new and loving home. Help continue to make magic happen together!
𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗜𝗧! Swifties won’t want to miss the one and only 𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗘 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗙𝗧s first public appearance. Stop by this Saturday 12-2pm and meet our newest purrfect pop sensation, 𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗘 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗙𝗧. This gal is ready to shake it off and have some good ol’ fashion Mendonoma fun. So help spread the word with a Like, Comment and Share and help this girl find a loving home of her dreams. 🐾💖
Adopting is one of the best things you can do.
Consider adopting a pet rather than buying. Your adoption reduces the number of pets that go into shelters every year. Also, you improve the lives of the animals by freeing up space.
MEET OUR DOGS
Get ready to emBARK on a journey filled with love, laughter and canine companionship. Meet Bear, an adorable and lively 5-month-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mixed breed. These furry friends are guaranteed to steal your heart with wagging tails, playful personalities and even know a few tricks like sitting, laying down and shaking hands! Unfortunately, the shelter is full up and we can't take them in right now. So if you or someone you know is on the lookout for some four-legged fun and unconditional love, contact Tom Hanson at (707) 703-2388 regarding adoption. Tom will help you take the first step toward welcoming these sweet pups into your home. Please consider giving these pups the happily-ever-after they deserve! Help them find their fur-ever homes.
Adorable Catahoula/Pit mix puppies were recently abandoned at a the Redwood Coast Humane Society and are in need of a new home or foster care to provide them with the love they deserve. Despite the sudden and unfortunate circumstances surrounding their arrival, the puppies have quickly captured the hearts of the shelter volunteers with their playful antics and affectionate nature.
Riley, a shepherd mix, came to us as a stray. We hoped to find his owner after a local community member found him on Tan Bark Road. With no response to our outreach, Riley is now fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for somebody new to share his life with. He is about 7 yrs. old., under 40lbs, knows basic commands, house-broken and is a sweet, loving and playful boy. Looking for a new leash in sweet Riley’s life—and hopefully a new family to share it with! He deserves a loving and safe forever home. Do you have room to help Riley go from street puddles to sweet cuddles?
Camella is a happy and exuberant Chocolate Lab/Staffordshire mix. Her shiny eyes and big smile let you know how excited she is to meet new people. Her vet described Camella as a “perfect specimen” with “well defined muscles and a rich chocolate coat.” We just think she is a great girl. Camella will do best as the only pet in the household. A loving forever home with a fenced yard is the perfect setting for this girl. If you have room in your home and heart to give Camella a second chance at a new life full of love and attention, she will return it to you two-fold.
One year old Labrador/Shepherd mixes ready to become part of your active family. They have been fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped by The Redwood Coast Humane Society. They are in need of socialization and leash training, but not an aggressive bone in their bodies. Thunder (male) is the only black remaining, but several male and female blondes are available.
Meet these two beauties "Misty" (grey) and "Ruby" (red) adult (6-7 yr. old) German Shepherds who have recently come under the care of The Redwood Coast Humane Society,” according to Lisa Dundee. "They are now fully up to date on their vaccinations micro-chipped and spayed. If you have a large fenced yard, activity in your step, and love in your heart, Misty and Ruby can fulfill all.
Meet Ke-mo sah-bee “Kemo.” Kemo is a 3 year old American Bully mix. Kemo loves walks and playtime with his people. His big, happy Bully breed smile brings sunshine to any day. This sweet boy takes a minute to get to know but when you do, he is full of love, fun and adventure. Kemo would love to be the only dog in a household with a secure fenced yard to allow him room for his playful personality. Give this boy love and attention and he will be a loyal furever companion.
Calling all dog lovers! This sweet mother-daughter duo, Star and Hannah, are looking for a new forever home — somewhere with a large, fenced-in yard and a cozy berth indoors for nighttime. “These ladies are middle-aged, well-behaved, and a lot of fun! Imagine the adventures you would have!
