Meet Milo, a 4-year-old neutered male with a big fluffy body and an even bigger heart. This mild-mannered boy is calm, friendly and enjoys both people and other cats. For many months, Milo was cared for by compassionate community members in Point Arena, but living near Highway 1 and being bullied by other cats became too dangerous. Wanting a safer future for him, they brought him to us in hopes he can finally find a home of his own. Meet Jade, our elegant young spayed female "Blue & Rust" Doberman. Jade is shy to start out - but once she gets to know you - she is all play! Once you can get her to agree that putting on her halter is not a game, she walks well on leash and is a very sweet girl.
Spring has sprung, and so have these playful little pups! "Luna" (female) on left and "Luca" (male) on right, were recently brought to The Redwood Coast Humane Society in search of their furever homes. They are around 3 months old, shepherd mixes, and will be receiving their vaccinations this weekend, after which they will be available for adoption, either together or individually.

Meet Baby Girl! Big dog, big heart, big fan of walks with her favorite people. Baby Girl is a 3-year-old, 82-pound bundle of sunshine with a gorgeous yellow coat and a personality to match. This sweet Labrador/Golden Retriever, Shepherd mix is the kind of best buddy who wants to be your loyal sidekick through life’s great adventures, even if it’s just snacks on the couch. She does get adorably excited when she realizes a walk is about to happen (who among us doesn’t?), but once she’s out and about she walks nicely on leash and settles into a mellow groove. Baby Girl loves to play, enjoys being with her people, and has that classic big-hearted loyalty that makes her the ultimate companion. Star, the perfect cuddling buddy and a tricolor hottie rottie mix who has been searching for love for over 1000 days. It's disheartening to see such a sweet dog facing challenges in finding a forever home. Star is a 7-8 year old gentle, well-trained girl and about 60lbs and bonded to O’Hana. Pittie mix O’Hana has been waiting to get adopted for an extremely long time. This 8-9 year old beautiful brown brindle bully mix girl has been with us for over 1000 days and counting! She is hoping that special someone who will come find her and give her the love she deserves. She is fond of being around people as well as dogs and bonded to Star. Senior dogs simply crave love and companionship, which is precisely what Misty, our 9-year-old pure Blue Tricolor German Shepherd, longs for. The daily kindness shown by RCHS volunteers assures Misty that she is in a secure and safe environment but she sure desires a home of her own. Witnessing her joyful transformation evolve into a confident and contented dog, any family will be blessed to be the object of her affection. Misty is eager to love again, yearning to be a cherished member of a family who will value her in her golden years, and she is ready to wholeheartedly open up to the right person.
Meet River, left scared and alone after being dumped on Mountain View Road in Gualala. The story about this abandoned Siberian Husky mix will tug at the heartstrings of any animal lover. Thankfully he is safe and now has a chance at a new life all thanks to our compassionate Menodnoma community dedicated to making a difference. River is now 18-months-old and in search of a patient and caring family who can understand his past traumas and provide him with the love and security he deserves in a forever home.
Her shiny eyes and big smile let you know how excited she is to meet new people. Her vet described Camilla as a “perfect specimen” with “well defined muscles and a rich chocolate coat.” We just think she is a great girl who loves attention and playing in water. Meet Ke-mo sah-bee “Kemo.” Kemo is a 5-year-old American Bully mix. Kemo loves walks and playtime with his people. His big, happy Bully breed smile brings sunshine to any day. This sweet boy takes a minute to get to know but when you do, he is full of love, fun and adventure. Kemo would love to be the only dog in a household with a secure fenced yard to allow him room for his playful personality. Give this boy love and attention and he will be a loyal furever companion.
